About Nicolas
Nicolas Sotomayor is a certified sound practitioner and mindfulness instructor with a deep passion for the healing power of sound. His journey began as a Buddhist practitioner, where he learned meditation and completed his precepts at the Soshimsa Zen Center in New Jersey. This spiritual foundation led him to extensively study sound therapy and auditory stimulation. Nicolas holds certifications in singing bowl sound therapy from the Atma Buti Sound and Vibrational School and attended the Integrative Sound and Music Institute program at the NY Open Center. He is also certified under the Auster Sound Method (ASM). With a Bachelor's degree in audio production from Full Sail University, Nicolas combines technical expertise with spiritual practice. His dedication to sound healing has taken him around the world, from studying in the U.S. to exploring sound therapy's impact on mindfulness and well-being in Japan. Nicolas offers both private and group sound healing sessions, creating a serene and transformative experience for his clients. At Inked Zen, his unique approach blends traditional sound therapy with modern mindfulness techniques, fostering a space where art and healing converge.
