Setup Guide
Connect Google Calendar
Set up Google Calendar integration first (required for Google Meet)
Google Meet integration requires Google Calendar to be connected. If you haven't already, go to Settings → Integrations and connect your Google Calendar account.
Enable Google Meet
Google Meet is automatically enabled when Google Calendar is connected
Once your Google Calendar is connected, Google Meet links will be automatically generated for all virtual sessions. No additional setup is required.
Set Virtual Session Preference
Choose Google Meet as your preferred video platform
In your session settings, select "Google Meet" as your preferred virtual platform. You can also set this preference per session if needed.
Test Your Setup
Create a test booking to verify Google Meet links are generated
Book a test virtual session and verify that the Google Meet link appears in the confirmation email and calendar invite.
How It Works
Client Books Virtual Session
When a client books a virtual session, Flowdara automatically creates a Google Calendar event
Google Meet Link Generated
A Google Meet link is automatically added to the calendar event
Link Stored in Session
The Google Meet link is stored with the session and included in all communications
Client Receives Information
Meeting details are included in the client's confirmation email and calendar invite

Benefits
Troubleshooting
Google Meet links not being generated
Ensure Google Calendar is connected and that your session is set to "Virtual" type. Check that Google Meet is enabled in your Google Calendar settings.
Meeting link missing from email
Verify that Google Calendar integration is active and that the calendar event was created successfully. Check your email spam folder.
Cannot join Google Meet session
Ensure you're logged into the correct Google account. Check that the meeting link hasn't expired (meetings are valid for the scheduled time).
Prefer Zoom over Google Meet
You can set Zoom as your default video platform in session settings. Google Meet links will only be generated if Google Meet is selected as the preferred platform.
Best Practices
Test Your Setup
Book a test session to ensure Google Meet links are generated correctly before your first client session.
Keep Calendar Connected
Regularly check that your Google Calendar integration is still active in Settings → Integrations.
Use Virtual Session Type
Make sure your sessions are set to "Virtual" type to trigger Google Meet link generation.
Share Link in Advance
The Google Meet link is automatically included in confirmation emails, but you can also share it manually if needed.
Check Meeting Settings
Verify your Google Meet settings allow participants to join without you being present, if needed for your practice.
