What Is Human Design?
Human Design is a chart system that uses your birth date, exact birth time, and birth place to describe how your energy makes decisions. The chart names your type, strategy, authority, and profile. It is a map for experiments, not a forecast of events.
What the chart names
Type is how your energy operates. The five types in common use are Generator, Manifesting Generator, Manifestor, Projector, and Reflector. Strategy is how that type enters a decision: respond, inform, wait for the invitation, or wait a lunar cycle. Authority is the body signal you trust for a yes or a no. Profile is the two-line role, such as 2/4.

Birth time is required
Date alone is not enough. The chart uses the exact birth time and the city you were born in, because those set the profile, the defined centers, and often the authority. A wrong time can name the wrong type. If you do not know the time, the free chart can estimate noon, and that result is labeled approximate.
Where the system comes from
Ra Uru Hu began teaching Human Design in 1987. The system combines symbols from astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah, and the chakra system into one bodygraph. It is not a medical test, and it does not predict a specific event. The useful question is whether the strategy makes decisions less forced.
